How can I help you?

To take control of your pain, you have to understand your pain. To do so, we have to figure out the cause and find out what’s stopping your body from healing itself. This is why it is vitally important that you leave our session with a diagnosis and a treatment plan.

The body and limbs are neatly interconnected so if a joint is stiff or a muscle is tight, it can cause imbalances around the body. Imbalances which might have occurred suddenly with an awkward movement or can be caused gradually by posture, work and day to day activities, over time resulting in pain. With hands on treatment, including massage, stretching and often spinal manipulations, Osteopathy aims to restore these imbalances.

Not only is the body affected by physical factors in our daily lives, but also our mental health. It’s important to consider how our mental health affects our pain, not only do we hold ourselves differently but when we’re stressed/anxious, our body releases chemicals that cause more pain and slow down healing. If your mental health is affecting your physical health, we can discuss techniques to manage your stress and calm your body.

Once the physical and mental imbalances are addressed, your body has the optimal conditions to heal itself.
